Why are people so much slimmer in downtown Austin? I live in Bryan texas. Nothing against anyone, big, skinny, young, old, whatever. People are people. Anyway, just got back from a visit to Austin, and watching all the interesting people go by is one of my favorite past times. But there is one thing that struck me as very odd: people in downtown austin were A LOT skinnier than what I'm used to encountering down here. Even most of the "big" people I saw were maybe only 10-20 pounds overweight. Rarely did I encounter the type of obesity which is so prevalent in Bryan Texas.
