Resolved Question: Where to live in Denver, CO?

I have always lived in Bryan/College Station, Texas and am anxiously planning a move to Denver, Colorado in a year that I need to be semi-prepared for. I would like to live in a highly urbanized area, most likely downtown. Ideally, I will be within walking distance of most everything with little need for a vehicle. I will be looking into the cheapest living/apartments available, regardless of quality. I will only be there for a year and have no prior knowledge of the area. Can you recommend a zip code/area!?
